Lorraine Brooker–Mays started her career in a knife throwing act, trying to gain her Equity Card, in a UK – wide touring circus.  At six foot tall she was too tall to fit in a magician’s magic illusion, having auditioned as an assistant after advertising herself in The Stage and Television Newspaper looking for a role in variety.

Having had elocution and drama training through L.A.M.D.A (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) for many years under the guidance of teacher Angela Ingrams, Lorraine was not deterred in her mission to capture her all important Equity Card.

Armed with an abundance of drive, talent, initiative and enthusiasm to perform, she combined all her skills and natural sunny personality to be chosen for the role of Rainbow Bigbottom.

Following training in film and television, Lorraine can be seen acting in various other roles and with her clear RP voice also works as a voice over artist.

Lorraine is featured in Spotlight and is available as a actress, presenter, children’s warm up artist for television and holds a chaperone’s licence
